Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight within Boston metro area and New England region
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Optimize routes for efficiency while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Operate electronic logging systems and maintain compliance with Hours of Service rules
- Represent Boston Logistics Solutions with professionalism in client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Knowledge of Boston metro area and New England highway systems
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route optimization software
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions
