Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional and long-haul freight transport
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous electronic logging compliance
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and coordinate efficient loading/unloading
- Manage delivery timelines while optimizing route efficiency in Alaskan terrain
- Utilize advanced telematics systems for real-time fleet coordination
- Maintain clean driving record and uphold company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with 3+ years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Hazmat endorsement preferred; TWIC certification required for port access
- Clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years, major violations negotiable)
- Proficiency in extreme weather conditions and mountainous driving
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed freight a plus
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
