Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight across the Washington DC metropolitan area and Mid-Atlantic region
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure on-time performance and fuel efficiency
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments and priority shipments
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report issues to fleet management
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable freight driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Endorsements: HazMat, Tanker, or Double/Triple preferred
- Must pass comprehensive background check and MVR review
