Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight across Washington DC metropolitan area and East Coast routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Optimize delivery routes using advanced GPS and logistics software
- Ensure timely delivery of high-value cargo with strict adherence to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams
- Maintain electronic logging systems (ELD) and DOT compliance documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Knowledge of Washington DC traffic regulations and commercial route restrictions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
