Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on multi-state routes with 100% on-time delivery record
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Handle high-value freight including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials
- Optimize route efficiency to maximize fuel savings and minimize delivery windows
- Collaborate with logistics team for real-time load adjustments and priority shipments
- Train junior drivers on company safety protocols and operational standards
- Complete all required paperwork and maintain FMCSA compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 3 years verifiable OTR or regional experience with hazmat/tanker endorsements
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management software
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
