Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on established routes across the Charlotte metropolitan area
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements for assigned vehicles
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and professional conduct
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and fuel conservation
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork for each assignment
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte area roadways and transportation regulations
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning software
