Responsibilities
- Secure and load cargo onto the box truck, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues.
- Drive safely and defensively to navigate local and regional routes in San Antonio.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while interacting with customers.
- Handle all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to dispatch and management.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding ETA, traffic, and route changes.
Qualifications
- Must currently own a 26ft Box Truck (or equivalent).
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current medical card and DOT physical (if applicable for commercial).
- Proof of valid auto and cargo insurance.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and punctuality.
- Reliable smartphone with data access for communication.
