Responsibilities
- Safely operate 10-26ft box trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Secure cargo using proper straps and tie-downs to ensure safety during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates and delivery exceptions.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the truck interior and exterior at all times.
- Complete and scan all required paperwork, including Bill of Lading (BOL) and Proof of Delivery (POD).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ownership of a well-maintained box truck (10-26ft range) with valid registration and insurance.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in box truck or straight truck operations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Access to a reliable smartphone for dispatch communication.
