Responsibilities
- Safely operate and navigate box trucks to deliver freight to designated locations within the metro Atlanta area and surrounding regions.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and covers to ensure damage-free delivery.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel during pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Must own a clean, well-maintained box truck (10ft, 16ft, or 24ft) and valid insurance.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not always required for smaller box trucks; Class C with air brakes is acceptable for many positions.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
