Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial trucks to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, adhering to weight limits.
- Manage all necessary paperwork, including Bills of Lading and delivery receipts.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Ensure the truck cabin and cargo area are kept clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving abstract.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in freight hauling or logistics.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety protocols.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and sit for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD).
