Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, checking for damage and ensuring proper placement.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding schedules and delays.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous material handling (if applicable).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor vehicle repairs if necessary.
