Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for regional distribution routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize route planning and on-time performance
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Manage customer interactions and resolve delivery exceptions professionally
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Utilize provided load boards to maximize revenue through backhauling opportunities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight-truck experience
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible schedules including early mornings
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor roadside repairs
- Smartphone proficiency for communication and load tracking apps
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
