Responsibilities
- Execute efficient last-mile and regional freight deliveries across Newark metro area
- Maintain optimal vehicle performance through proactive maintenance scheduling
- Maximize route efficiency using our advanced dispatch software
- Ensure strict compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Build and maintain client relationships through professional service delivery
- Manage documentation including BOLs, delivery confirmations, and expense reports
- Optimize profitability through strategic load acceptance and timing
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
- Relatively new or well-maintained box truck (26ft max)
- Strong knowledge of Newark/NJ traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic accounting skills for expense tracking and invoicing
