Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials such as soil, rock, gravel, and asphalt to and from specified locations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and load counts.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Secure loads properly and adhere to all weight distribution and road safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and dispatchers to coordinate deliveries and routes.
- Uphold strict safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and current DOT medical card.
- Ability to read maps, GPS systems, and construction site blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
