Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks to transport soil, gravel, asphalt, and other construction materials to and from job sites.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload materials using manual labor and standard loading equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (ELD) and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and road signage to ensure safe delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes and project timelines.
- Keep the truck clean and organized, performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of weight distribution and load securement.
- Reliable work history and availability for full-time shifts.
