Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario planning models for enterprise-wide adoption
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to integrate future-focused insights into innovation pipelines
- Present trend analyses and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Establish cross-functional innovation labs to prototype future-state solutions and business models
- Author annual 'Future State' reports with actionable recommendations for organizational adaptation
- Mentor junior strategists in foresight methodologies and trend analysis techniques
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futurology, Strategic Planning, Business Innovation, or related field; PhD preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused roles
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and translating foresight into business impact
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFK, CFS) strongly preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-state strategy implementations
