Responsibilities
- Scan horizon technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to identify disruptive opportunities through 2026
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for market evolution and competitive positioning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing products and services
- Present foresight insights to executive leadership and board members with data-driven narratives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to accelerate innovation cycles
- Create annual innovation roadmaps with measurable KPIs and ROI projections
- Mentor R&D teams on emerging technology integration and ethical implementation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, consulting, or R&D leadership within tech-forward industries
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or MBA from top-tier institution
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Certification in innovation management (e.g., PDMA, IXL) preferred
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
