Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal shifts to develop 5-year strategic foresight frameworks
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for 2026 market scenarios
- Develop and maintain Horizon's proprietary trend intelligence dashboard
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite stakeholders with data-backed impact projections
- Mentor junior futurists and build an innovation ecosystem across departments
- Partner with R&D to accelerate commercialization of breakthrough innovations
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports for industry thought leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D
- Proven track record developing long-term innovation roadmaps with measurable ROI
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures to diverse audiences
- Experience building and scaling innovation labs or future-focused teams
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
