Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logs to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
