Our drivers are trusted with our most precious cargo – children. You'll operate district-owned buses on established routes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure mechanical safety and operational readiness
- Supervise student behavior during transit, enforcing safety protocols and district policies
- Assist students with boarding/alighting, including special needs students requiring support
- Maintain accurate attendance records and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Adhere to all federal/state DOT regulations and district safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear driving record with no major violations within 3 years
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Excellent communication skills and patience working with children
- Ability to work early mornings and afternoons with flexible scheduling
