Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to strict schedules and traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Maintain accurate student attendance records and implement emergency protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Enforce behavioral standards and ensure student safety during transit
- Complete daily trip logs and incident documentation as required
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with children
