Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab supplies with strict adherence to HIPAA and biohazard protocols
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrival at hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, including temperature logs and chain-of-custody records
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare staff during pickups and deliveries
- Respond proactively to delivery exceptions and coordinate with dispatch teams for urgent reroutes
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Experience handling medical specimens or temperature-sensitive shipments preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screening required
