Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight within Santa Ana and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections ensuring vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery timelines
- Accurately document cargo, mileage, and delivery status via electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges and maintain schedule integrity
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all traffic safety laws
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with minimum 2 years verifiable driving experience
- Clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation software
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery schedules
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination
- Pass DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with California road regulations and major freight corridors
