Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated delivery locations in and around Reno, NV.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) logs and delivery manifests.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to resolve any delivery issues efficiently.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of truck maintenance, DOT regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and performing manual labor associated with loading/unloading.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
