Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and related construction equipment on diverse job sites
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload materials including gravel, asphalt, and demolition debris
- Navigate complex urban and highway routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Coordinate with site supervisors and ground crews for efficient project execution
- Maintain clean, organized equipment and report maintenance needs promptly
- Support emergency response operations during weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck operation experience in construction/industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of California DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent spatial awareness and maneuvering skills in tight spaces
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge for on-site repairs
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
