Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks for material transport (gravel, soil, asphalt) at construction sites
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery schedules
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Secure loads and ensure proper weight distribution during transit
- Represent the company professionally with clients and project managers
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating dump trucks or heavy equipment
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Ohio roadways and construction site safety standards
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Physical ability to climb equipment and perform outdoor work in varying weather
