Responsibilities
- Safely deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within the designated route and time window.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Provide outstanding customer service by interacting professionally with clients and handling packages with care.
- Manage delivery paperwork accurately, including electronic proof of delivery and logbooks.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, utilizing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (or equivalent state driver's license) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for using handheld devices and logging data.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
