Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Drive commercial vans and trucks to deliver packages and cargo to residential and commercial addresses in a timely manner.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, professional, and safe service when interacting with customers and handling packages.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, maintained, and road-ready.
- Route Management: Follow GPS directions and adhere to delivery schedules to optimize routes and minimize delays.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and incident reports.
- Asset Protection: Secure all cargo during transport and handle packages with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Valid Class C Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to operate a commercial vehicle.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; good physical fitness for standing and walking.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems.
- Reliability: A proven history of being punctual, dependable, and professional in a work environment.
