Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, documents, and goods to designated locations across NYC boroughs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to meet strict time windows and fuel efficiency targets
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Handle customer interactions professionally, including delivery confirmations and issue resolution
- Maintain accurate delivery records and digital documentation through our mobile app system
- Collaborate with dispatch team to communicate delays or route changes proactively
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading procedures when required at distribution centers
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience with commercial or delivery vehicles
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic digital documentation tools
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
