Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and transport goods to designated commercial and residential delivery points in the Kansas City metro area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including verifying addresses and obtaining signatures upon delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, or vehicle issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly without assistance.
- Strong geographic knowledge of Kansas City, MO, and surrounding counties.
- Basic computer skills for entering delivery data and checking emails.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
