Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient operation of delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are secured properly and delivered in pristine condition.
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients, including proper handling of packages and clear communication.
- Maintaining accurate delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Performing routine vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Navigating efficiently through Indianapolis and surrounding areas to optimize delivery routes.
- Collaborating with the dispatch team to adjust schedules and handle urgent deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- At least 2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong physical stamina to lift packages and handle manual labor for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for using handheld delivery devices and logging software.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
