Responsibilities
- Safely Deliver Packages: Navigate local and regional routes efficiently to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to residential and commercial clients.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor, answering questions, and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in excellent working condition and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Inventory Management: Accurately document and verify packages upon loading and unloading to prevent loss or damage.
- Schedule Adherence: Strictly adhere to delivery schedules and time windows to optimize fleet efficiency.
- Route Planning: Utilize GPS and mapping software to determine the most efficient routes, avoiding traffic and delays.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C California driver's license is mandatory.
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean driving abstract with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- California Residency: Must be a resident of California or willing to relocate.
- Vehicle Access: Access to a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers.
- Tech-Savviness: Comfortable using a smartphone or handheld device for navigation and logging delivery data.
