Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations across Boston
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery issues and exceptions
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 60 pounds
- Strong knowledge of Boston's neighborhoods and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient using smartphone navigation apps
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
