Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for long-distance freight transport
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding shipment status
- Maintain electronic logging system compliance
- Build positive relationships with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer decks
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with ELD systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend schedules
- Knowledge of hazardous materials (Hazmat certification preferred)
