Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailer units on dedicated regional routes with consistent schedules
- Safely transport freight while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading and route adjustments
- Ensure freight security and proper documentation (BOLs, manifests)
- Represent Elite Logistics with professional conduct at customer facilities
- Report maintenance issues and participate in preventive maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience with dedicated routes preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Proficiency with ELD systems and basic navigation technology
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
