Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in and around Raleigh, NC, ensuring timely completion of routes.
- Verify addresses and obtain signatures for proof of delivery while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Handle package handling with care, ensuring items arrive in the same condition they were picked up.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Use handheld devices to log delivery data and communicate with dispatch centers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License (CDL Class B preferred for larger cargo vans).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clean driving record with no recent DUIs or serious traffic violations.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with the public.
- Proficiency with mobile technology, GPS navigation, and basic computer skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
