Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using proper equipment to ensure cargo security during transit.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and all required delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time windows to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and ensure the safety of the crew, cargo, and the public.
- Represent the company professionally at customer facilities and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3-5 years.
- Current, valid DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
