Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery documentation promptly.
- Adhere to strict timeliness schedules and route planning to meet customer deadlines.
- Represent Apex Transport Solutions professionally at customer facilities.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, interstate regulations, and cargo handling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
