Responsibilities
- Operate your own box truck for local and regional freight deliveries throughout Central Valley
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations
- Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and fuel economy
- Provide exceptional customer service during all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of box truck or straight truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Proof of commercial vehicle insurance and DOT medical certification
- Reliable late-model box truck (2005 or newer) in good mechanical condition
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with Bakersfield metro area
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally as required
