Responsibilities
- Operate 24-foot box truck for safe, timely freight delivery to commercial and residential locations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load optimization
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve delivery exceptions with professionalism
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Manage loading/unloading operations using provided equipment when required
- Participate in ongoing training programs for new technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metropolitan area and Indiana roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate warehouse equipment
- Must own or finance eligible box truck (24-26 ft) meeting DOT specifications
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum coverage)
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, and weekends
