Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles on local and regional routes in and around the San Jose area.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment to ensure goods arrive in perfect condition.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and delivery manifests.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and route navigation.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
