Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on local and regional routes in Santa Ana and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper securing and handling of cargo to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Verify delivery documents and obtain proper signatures from recipients.
- Interact professionally with clients and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B is required.
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks related to cargo handling.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to read maps and follow GPS directions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
