Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and legally compliant manner.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Navigate delivery routes in St. Petersburg and surrounding areas with precision.
- Inspect vehicle condition before, during, and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional truck driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
