Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers to transport freight within Florida and Southeastern US corridors
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time performance
- Secure and verify cargo documentation while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Assist with freight loading/unloading when required at client facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety procedures
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and communication skills
