Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries in the Dallas area
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries using provided navigation tools
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of box truck or commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Reliable personal box truck (24-26ft) in good mechanical condition
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Smartphone with reliable internet for communication and logging
- Commercial auto insurance with $1M liability coverage
