Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided tractors/trailers on dedicated regional routes
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance reports
- Load/unload freight efficiently at customer facilities
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent Nexus Transport professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR and DOT-compliant medical certificate
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screen
- Proficient in ELD usage and electronic logging systems
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Commitment to safety-first driving practices
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team communication
