Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Alaska's challenging terrain
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo with precision using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Document all shipments, mileage, and incidents according to company policy
- Represent Alaska Logistics Solutions with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial freight or heavy haul experience
- Ability to obtain TWIC card and pass TSA background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Familiarity with Alaska's road conditions and seasonal driving hazards
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills for remote operations
