Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in and around the Richmond, VA area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training programs for new drivers.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
