Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records (ELD compliance).
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Ensure the cargo is secured and protected against damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo weighing up to 50 lbs (if applicable to specific role).
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
