Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations within the region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and tie-down equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or cargo issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate interstate commerce.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety, time management, and professional conduct.
- Basic computer literacy for using logistics software and tablets.
